Pastoral care is a central element of life at Woodcreek. The wellbeing of our students is our biggest concern, and all staff members share in the responsibility of caring for them.
Our pastoral programme is made up of policies and practices fully integrated throughout teaching, learning and the way the school is organised. Each teacher is responsible for a group of students, ensuring the systems in place allow every one of them to thrive, and our teachers are always on call for the children and available to parents in case of any need.
Through pastoral care we meet the personal, social, wellbeing and academic needs of our students, and for boarders this is complemented by the care of our boarding houses.
Guidance & counselling
Our Guidance and Counselling team is an integral part of the educational process at Woodcreek, built on the belief that educational, career and personal goals are best achieved when students are well supported. Its work is coordinated with the input of teachers, parents and the school administration.
Because growth and learning are developmental, our counselling programme is developmental and sequential too. Our counsellor promotes the emotional, social and personal development of students, offering educational and social advice and guidance from Kindergarten through Sixth Form, so every child feels known, understood and supported at every stage of their journey.
